Design Engineer – Electrical 

We are Grayhill, a leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative human interface solutions, systems and components.  We are committed to providing rugged, high quality solutions for a wide range of applications in off-highway vehicle, defense, medical, and various other markets. Due to some recent “wins” we are looking for a Design Engineer – Electrical with the same passion and drive for excellence.

 

In this high visibility position you will have the opportunity to identify specific technologies and provide roadmaps for the design and development of products for our newest product lines. You will plan and design new products, as well as control expenditures within budgetary guidelines and provide internal and external technical expertise. Your interaction with customers, our Sales and Marketing Team as well as our Business Unit Leaders will translate customer wishes into products and services.

 

Our ideal candidate will have 5 or more years experience designing low power battery operated devices or designing for low emissions, robust immunity and low EMI or RF design or cellular integration wireless communication hardware integration. Your ability to write and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ along with your knowledge of VHDL and/or Verilog will make you the ‘go to’ Engineer on the team.  Along with your BS in Electrical Engineering, an MS in Engineering or desire to pursue one will only strengthen your candidacy.  Additionally, you will posses strong communication and problem solving skills that will underscore your knowledge of design and documentation requirements for military product design.
