Grayhill Introduces VectorPad: Compact, IP67-Rated Directional Keypad for Rugged Applications
Grayhill is proud to announce the launch of VectorPad, a compact directional keypad engineered for military, industrial, and off-highway applications where durability and performance are non-negotiable.
Designed to support modern embedded systems with limited real estate, VectorPad delivers full 4-way navigation plus center select in a rugged 1.6” square footprint. With IP67 sealing when properly integrated, discrete output simplicity, and up to 1,000,000 cycles per key, it provides long-life mechanical performance in harsh environments.

Built for Demanding Environments
VectorPad is engineered to withstand environmental stressors common in defense and industrial systems, including:
- Temperature extremes
- Vibration and shock
- Dust and immersion
- Contamination-prone operating conditions
Tactile landmarks support blind operation in gloved or low-light environments, preserving operator confidence even in high-stress scenarios.

Designed for Integration
VectorPad’s discrete outputs simplify GPIO integration with microcontrollers and embedded systems. The PicoBlade connector is available in flat and 90-degree orientations, enabling flexible mechanical integration based on system constraints.
Beyond standalone deployment, VectorPad also serves as a scalable building block for expanded HMI solutions, including:
- Integrated display assemblies
- Custom housings
- Tailored backlighting and legend configurations
